Best Brownies

½ C butter
1 C white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 C unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 C all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp baking powder
Frosting: 3 T butter, softened
3 T unsweetened cocoa powder
1 T honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 C confectioner’s sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8 inch square pan.
In a large saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat in 1/3 cup cocoa, 1/3 cup flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overcook.
To Make Frosting: Combine 3 tablespoons butter, 3 tablespoons cocoa, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 cup confectioners' sugar. Frost brownies while they are still warm.
Mint Frosting

2 C powdered sugar
½ C soft butter
2T mint
Green food coloring

Chocolate Topping
Goes on top of mint frosting

6 T butter
1 C chocolate chips

Melt together and spread on mint frosting.

Peppermint Patty Brownies


Put 2/3 brownie batter in pan.  Lay a layer of peppermint patties.  Pour rest of batter on top.  Bake.
